Worlebury Golf Clubs sits at the top of Worlebury Hill, some 200 ft above sea level. On the northerly side, the course provides stunning vieews over the Bristol Channel, towards Cardiff and the Millenium Stadium, Newport and the South Wales coast. On a clear day the Severn Crossing can be seen beyond Portishead. To the south, it looks out over the Mendip and Blackdown Hills
The well manicured 5877 yard par 70 parkland course is one of the courses designed by the legendary six times Open Champion,
Harry Vardon , an all time ‘golfing great’.
It flows through several, slightly undulating, stone walled and tree lined fields offering fantastic panoramas of the surrounding countryside. It has an excellent mix of holes providing a challenge to the lower handicapper, without intimidating the less proficient golfer.
Good course management skills will be needed to ensure a respectable score, which is reflected in the present course record of 65. Its non demanding terrain makes it a pleasure to play for visiting golfers of all ages.
